I love the User Experience Trends Blog that covers all sorts of weird and wacky things, but saw this and just had to comment on it.  UCL have mapped the country and put postcodes into technology usage. I didn't agree with mine, so added the feedback.  Anyway, here is the item from the blog:

Britain's digital tribes revealed. "Households in Britain can be classified into 23 "e-types" depending on their access to technology, say researchers. E-types include mobile explorers, the e-committed and rational utilitarians.
