I was in York yesterday and while sat in the pub one of the ladies working there told me about her new laptop and just how fabulous it was with Windows

re: Windows 7 adoption is storming

WOW...This site has attracted Windows Haters like flies to honey.

No one can say one good thing about Windows with all the Mac heads flying of the handle. Why don't your guys go blast 7 on a Mac forum or something. Oh, wait, you already have. I enjoy using Windows yet I do not browse the internet for Mac praisers so I blast them. I total second David, 7 has started out of the gates as good if not better than XP.

Bet you'll still find some companies on windows98 though. Funny how no one ever really trusts or jumps on Microsoft upgrades until several years after the service packs and bug fixes.

I appreciate that access to my site is not likely to bring in many non-Microsoft visitors, however the mix of Microsoft operating systems is shifting very quickly to Windows 7 from both Windows XP and Vista.

As for the people running Windows 7 before release - this will include those running beta copies, but since August the product has been released and the growth is unlikely to be beta copies.

You'll notice that ~15% of your visitors were using Windows 7 before it was even released...

As things turned out, you provided a solution to the problem and I owe you a round for that. Thanks!
