I found your post on my blog. I am looking for people who have the last name Overton who also have a blog. Funny idea isn't it. Did you ever look around the web for more overton blogs? I grew up reading Guy Kewney each month in PCW from 1984 onwards as a pre-teen geek without a computer but with an insatiable desire to read about these incredible Personal Computers that were becoming so influential...I still have most of my P.C.W copies from that golden era...R.I.P.

Hello David,

My name is Michelle Overton. Through a series of events this morning, I deicded to do a survey, yet to be determined how in depth, of people with the last name of Overton who have a blog. I like learning about people and this seemed like a unique way to do it. Your blog was the first one that came up when I googled Overton Blog, so your blog is my first foray into this little adventure.

The first thing I saw was your picture of you asleep on the couch. Very funny. The first entry I read was this one, of your tribute to Guy Kewney. I have not heard of him before (possibly because I live in the US) but I was touched. This entry made me decide that I liked you. Your second posting I read was about the contest for teachers and classrooms. That was really a great thing to do. You personally don't have anything invested in the contest yet you put the information out there for others to benefit from. Bravo. The third entry I looked at were the pictures of your house with the snow. How beautiful. Southern California doesn't get much snow. The last thing I watched was the video about your depression. I am curious is the UK more open about depression in men. It is certainly difficult for American men to talk about depression. I loved your tribute to your wife at the end of the video. It is true, I don't know a lot of women that would have said, ok let's talk about this, rather than ...there's the door. Your wife seems like a lovely woman.

All in all, I have decided, that if you and I were in the same room, I would shake your hand and would enjoy listening to you talk about your life and interests. Thank you for posting a blog. Thank you for being my first step on this adventure.
