Microsoft's Web-based version of its franchise Office product, branded as Office 365 ($6 per user per month), came out of private beta today with company executives flatly stating that the Internet is the one and only future for Microsoft.

No permission needed from me and yes, it is great value for money, even compared to a SBS server installed on premises.

Note that the £4 / user per month is limited to businesses up to 25 users, however the enterprise options for businesses > 25 users is still amazing.

Do I need your permission, and if so,But there's another way to look at it. Microsoft Office 365 costs a fraction of what it would cost to buy, install and manage the kind of hardware and software it would take to provide the same services in-house.
