In your very helpful blog, you mention moving the old OS to one side and later "migrate any documents and then remove the old install using a tool designed to do just this". Could you tell me what this tool is called, and how/where to find it? To move the old OS to one side, does that mean doing something other than a clean install?

Top blog mate!

Got a question...

Using a system with 2 x HDD's (MAP-XP copy on the first)

Is it then possible to boot to XP, start the upgrade but point the installation to the second *formatted* disk?

When Vista is required to activate, could it see XP (now Windows.old) on the first disk??? All it needs is a path right???

I don't want to bugger my system up just yet but has anyone tried this???

re: How to do a clean install using the Action Pack Windows Vista Media

Robert,

I am only seeing 3 of the pictures you posted on this page. I viewed the page on two boxes, one running Vista Ultimate with IE 7 and the other with XP Pro SP2 and IE7. Same result both places.
