Following all the feedback from version 1 and 2, I’ve finished release 6 (version number 2.0.0.26 in the store) and submitted to the Windows Store and can be found at the Windows Store: [27th March

re: Version 6 of Sync for SkyDrive

Marco,

I have no account information for the application. The purpose of the trial 30-day period is to ensure that you are happy with the product before you purchase. I'm sorry you find it confusing. Once it is configured, you can use the Sync Now pin and it simply works.

I'd be happy to accept feedback on how to make it better - I can be contacted at admin@davidoverton.com, otherwise you would need to contact Microsoft to see if there is any way to get a refund. It is them you have actually paid, not me.

Thanks

David

all of the workload balancing is owned by Microsoft in the OS, so I think they have managed this. It is using the same technology they have used "for ever" in the form of their Background Intelligent Transfer Service (or BITS).

Have you done what Google have singularly failed to do - much to the anger of users who're bright enough to realise what's up... and which Dropbox and others have done so well - and that is to implement bandwidth throttling - without which, a background backup session will utterly mess up Skype video and audio calls?
