im trying to install SBS 2003 in Virtual PC 2007.

As I cant find a trial version for my customer of SBS 2003 i thought id try 2008.

Unfortunately it cant install it as Virtual PC will only emulate a x32 system and SBS 2008 requires x64. Is there anyway round this problem?

Does anyone know how long it takes to come? Because I have been trying to get hold of a SBS evaluation and its been over a week and still not come. .

Also, do you have to be a partner to order from the link you gave above?

Phil,

I guess the best answer is to contact the local Regional Support Centre (RSC) and ask them how to obtain a copy. Perhaps since all our software is reving to the 2008 editions we have cleaned house to make space for that - but I don't know.

This is really strange Anil, because I clicked the link in the blog post for partners (www.microsoft.com/.../mktplace.aspx) and then selected SBS as a product. I was then able to order an eval copy of SBS for free.

What problems are you seeing?

I am an IT consultant and need to show a lawyers firm the benefits of Small Business Server. It seems that I cannot get an evaluation copy in UK. The boss wants to see the product in action with Office, Outloot, OneNote and SharePoint services.

I am also looking to see if Server 2003 with SarePoint Portal Server can replace Moodle (opensource) in educational establishment.

And I thought MIcrosoft was helpful.

I actually scoured the MS Download site and Partner site trying to find the SBS VHD that I once downloaded for a upcomming customer demo. Well since I didn't find it and do not still have the VHD I decieded - yeah ok setup the eval version in a VM but... wait... I can't download that either... Oh well - I did order the Eval Kit and hope it arrives before my scheduled customer demo...

But what is it that you mean about "Using the key already provided?" Partner Market Place? Could you post a link?
