Problem is my orange icon2 mobile broadband and vista do not get on. I have already experienced trying to access an email whilst my sage package on causing sage to crash. Everytime the orange icon is plugged in I get a big error message and the computer shuts down and restarts.

I was hoping to install XP which I used before the new laptop and use on my PC at work, but your blog seems to indicate this is not possible. I am a one person small trader, not very IT savvy but not hopeless. Can you advise?

I am about 35 days into my vista trial.

Is that possible? It did not work for me on an OEM XP SP2c sysprepped image? How am I then supposed to activate this XP if Vista license key does not work and XP licenses will no longer be sold. Calling microsoft everytime we have to activate XP is too tedious for our case...

My situation is opposite of the downgrade. I have a Compaq R4000 and boght Vista Business from Staples (office supplies) and had them install it. It ran OK for a few months but then began to have major problems. I checked compatability, and my computer is not compatable with Vista. I reinstalled my XP Home additionwhich was the original software on this computer. I performed all upgrades, etc. I then tried to install my XP Professional (2002) and I get an error message thatmy software is newr, or a later version of, the XP Proffesional.

Question: Could this be true? It seems I am being told by my software that if I have an old version of XP and I keep upgrading, I will eventually catch up to the new versions. Sounds a bit like Einstein.

If not, why am I being told XP Home with upgrades, i 2008, is newer than XP Professional 2002, before I am allowed to install and update?

Thanks again,
