"Recover to dissimilar hardware or virtual environments with the Restore Anyware technology"

from

www.symantec.com/.../features.jsp

When it was LiveState Recovery the "restore anyware" feature was optional...but then it all got rebranded to System Recovery and it's part of the package now

The latest version (7) got UI revamp as well...on the Tools menu you now have the "Convert to Virtual Disk" option. It supports VMware .vmdk and Virtual PC/Server .vhd where as before i think it was a seperate utility

Hope that helps!

Backup Exec System Recovery (formerly LiveState Recovery) has had this functionality for 3+ years...

They have a small business version which is reasonably priced and we've been using it for the last 18 months
