Microsoft announced at its partner conference on July 10 that it will launch Windows Server 2008, Visual Studio 2008 and SQL Server 2008 together in a single launch

re: MicrosoftBlog.com » Windows Server 2008, Visual Studio 2008 and SQL Server 2008 to Launch on February 27, 2008

Stan,

Sorry I am so used to these terms I guess I should add a bit more to your works. We release a product to manufacturing (product is finished, and sent to be put on DVDs and in boxes etc), we then have released as in available to people, perhaps through volume licensing as was the case for Office & Vista for 2 months before the public Launch.

So, expect us to rtm, then release, then launch these products. The gap between the 3 could be 1 second, but is more likely to be measured in weeks and months.

thanks for pointing it out.
