&lt;p&gt;it sounds like the download was not successful. &amp;nbsp;Once downloaded, you need to extract the zip - if it will not extract, that is likely your problem&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I've also waded through the documents and it really boils down to a few steps. &amp;nbsp;This has sooo many niceer features vs your boot CD.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;1) Native booting from USB Key&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;2) Runs almost all windows apps that don't need installing from the command line&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;3) Has a simple process for adding device drivers for hardware you want supported during your fix up&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;4) Is supported by Microsoft and others as a way to access and repair your system&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The key part of the document has 12 commands to run which create your WinPE directory, modifies it to create a RAM disk, creates the folders for the tools and then creating an ISO (if you want to burn to DVD). &amp;nbsp;I think there is a good 5-10 mins work there once you have downloaded the Windows Audomated Installation Kit.&lt;/p&gt;
