Chris: I've been having the same problem, irritatingly the rating scale export only works with Excel 2007. I have 2003 and the people I want to give the spreadsheet to have 2000. The only way around this I've found is to get them to enter numbers from one to five depending on how they feel about something, which is much less easy to read for them. The only good thing is that it means I can properly use the data from the spreadsheets.

I have a WSS survey.

When trying the export to excel I am not seeing the results of questions using the type rating scale.

Is there a particular reason for this?

I need to update this with more pictures etc. You should be able to mege back from within excel. I am still hop along with my fingers, but hope to be able to type more next week, so will update then.

Hi, you mentioned that it is two way and "People can then take the spreadsheet on the road, update",but when I tried to export the results of survey to Excel and and try to edit it says read only!!what am I missing here? thanks and regards Mitra
