Is there any special message you would want me to give? The Opportunity Wales programme has delivered over 9,000 eCommerce Review meetings with SMEs in Wales

re: eCommerce in Wales

Small and micro-businesses throughout Mid Wales will be eligible for a new award that is being piloted in the region to help support e-business projects.

re: eCommerce in Wales

I am sure there is some SBS in there, but don't be fooled into thinking that SBS is the only solution for small businesses by Microsoft. We also have Windows, Office, BCM, 3rd party apps, hosted solutions by us and our partners...

It is about finding the right balance.

As always, no matter what technology is used, the blue badge should be sought!!

ttfn

David

re: eCommerce in Wales

What no SBS David? I talked recently with one of our local business advisors who was very keen on SBS. I have also talked about presenting to e-commerce advisors on Wales on the remote connectivity of SBS which most don't seem to know about.
I also agree with Tim, plugging the SBSC blue badge is essential.

re: eCommerce in Wales

Well, I guess the obvious thing is to keep plugging away to raise the profile of the Blue Badge (Small Business Specialist) and the existence of South Wales Small Business Specialist Group. This is something I asked of a number of people at the SBSC planning day recently. The more business advisors who are aware of what a Small Business Specialist is, the better. We recently had our own eCommerce review with a gentleman called Gary Parsons who works with Venture Wales. We talked a little bit about the South Wales Small Business Specialist Group and SBSC and he said he would consider referring new business to us in the future. But that's just one advisor. If you can spread the word to other advisors, that would be great.
