One quick point to make, with Windows Mobile 5.0 you can no longer turn off Certificate Checking

re: Getting Windows Mobile V5.0 working with SBS 2003

Paulie,

This is of course true *IF* your device manufacturer/contract provider allow this. Some do, some do not. I would rather that people were aware of the issue rather than found out after a number of activesync error around security.

Quite right to point this out - you can install the certificate if the device allows. This generally aligns to phones do not allow it & PDA device do allow it. Of course this is confusing as some phones run the PDA edition of the software :-~

ttfn

David

re: Getting Windows Mobile V5.0 working with SBS 2003

Excellent! Will have a read later, I think mobile devices have huge potential.

Just a note to say that self signed certificates with SBS do work without a problem. You just have to install the certificate on your device first!

I run Tom Tom on mine which works great.
