Hi Dave, Let me just say how much I've appreciated the work you've done and as sceptical as sometimes we can become (that means me!), I have never doubted your sincerity and honesty. You took the time to give me good advice on my business and that was a very human and unselflish act. You didn't have to, you have better things to do than worry about some lonely IT Consultant and his struggle to make his way in life, so thanks! There is so much more to life than work and it's amazing how a birth of a child can get you thinking about the things that really matter! Sometimes we forget that organisations are made of individuals and those people have feelings. For me you've bought a human face to Microsoft, willing to listen and debate openly and I can only respect that, even if I've disagreed sometimes. You're a real asset to Microsoft and this site is a fantastic resource. Good luck with things. Vijay

I've had a few changes of direction in my own life recently, including moving to live and work in California for four and a half years, trying to change my career direction and failing, and returning home to UK with my new wife Grace, growing long hair (haven't had it cut this millennium!) and deciding to start my own business. I think an occasional change of direction is good for you. May we all live in interesting times!

Oh, and I can help you out with the "reckless sports" too. I used to be an avvid caver and was involved in the discovery of a new 60 Km long cave in South Wales. You can see me (sort of) on the front cover of a book! http://www.caving.uk.com/Resources/Pages/d_pages/ibreviews.html
