I too had this set up. Found it a bit cumbersome some times but probably more to do with me that than how it works. It was good doing it this way to anable signatures to be applied to which ever 'account' you used to send your mail by. If you have an SBS yourself, try it out on that first as it can be fiddley. I used a 'how to' found here http://www.windowsitpro.com/Articles/ArticleID/93348/93348.html?Ad=1. You will need to subscribe to get the full article, but it does guide you through the exchange and outlook cleint side of things. I can send you a PDF version that I have if you require it. CP

I have multiple e-mail domains on my sbs box - I don't have the details to hand, but it wsa something like change the SMTP to enable it to send/receive more than one e-mail domain and then simply change the domain in users accounts in the AD. You still have 1 GAL, but that is it.

If you pick up mail via SMTP/ MX I don't believe it can be done (IMHO), however if you pick up mail via POP then you simple add POP connectors for email domain, and then add the email address into each users email address box (admin settings / users / properties / exchange email..or something like that) to target the users incoming emails.

The problem will be that outlook will not show emails from different domains easily (set up rules to check the incoming email address and route to a specific inbox folder), plus replied emails will show the default domain which may not be the domain that you want to appear.

I had a similar situation, so I chose to use OE for the 2nd domain emails and it kept emails and accounts separate.

Hi Everyone!

Apologies if this is a really basic question but I have failed to find the right google words to get a decent answer.

I'm getting into SBS 2003 R2 after playing with it when it was version 4.5!

It seems pretty good now and works well with broadband etc to allow a nice amount of remote management etc.

Anyway my question is this:

How do I cope with multiple domains?

i.e. a few of my customers have more than one domain, sure a main one but a second that they still use.

I understand that I could pick up as many as I want and as long as I map it correctly, a dave@123.com could receive a dave@abc.com also but how can I REPLY to the abc.com one (assuming the 123.com is the main domain)
