  • Re: Block email address in Exchange

Unless I missed in in an earlier post, the content filtering is 2 parts. you may have already added the email address(s), but you have to tell the SMTP Virtual Server to check. In exchange / servers / protocols / smtp / right click 'default' then properties / general tab / advanced button / edit. Make sure that the filters are ticked. I don't

  • Virtual Server

Virtual servers seems to be the in thing at the moment and it has me wondering about future installations and cloning. If I were to have a quad core / 4gb system and SBS 2003 R2 Std could I install a basic server on the machine, then run SBS as a virtual server? in my mind there's two issues, performance and licensing. But the real advantage I could

  • Medialess Office 2007

As 2003 is not available I am forced to supply 2007, however there's no media. The supplier said to download the trial and then activate using the key. I don't want to have to sign up for the trial because its not for me and I don't want to be spammed to death from MS. As I only buy in singles its unlikely I will come across the OPK (if

  • Re: Remote Web Access 403.6 Error

port 4125 is the RWW / Remote Desktop port. DMZ opens all the ports and is a way of determining if the router is blocking access

  • Re: Remote Web Access 403.6 Error

Can you confirm port 4125 is also fwded? What would happen if you were to set the router to DMZ to your NIC - does it still fail? (change it back to port fwding if needed) Are there any IIS restrictions?

  • Re: Remote Web Access 403.6 Error

Is this std or premium? does this happen on all accounts (or users)? whats your router? who is your ISP? single or dual NIC? im leaning to a port block rather than permissions. I have a feeling its on the outside of the Wan Nic - but let me know your answers first Tez

  • Re: Remote Web Access 403.6 Error

When I set up a server I run ICW and at the web certificate section I add the static IP address rather than a domain. Let me know if it worked for you. Terry

  • Re: Multiple Email domain question

If you pick up mail via SMTP/ MX I don't believe it can be done (IMHO), however if you pick up mail via POP then you simple add POP connectors for email domain, and then add the email address into each users email address box (admin settings / users / properties / exchange email..or something like that) to target the users incoming emails. The problem

  • Re: SP2 broke VPN access

Check RRAS is still setup correctly, perhaps re-running ICW or manually setting RRAS incase there's an error with the IP settings. Can you connect via VPN inside the network? If you can connect inside the network then start looking at the perimeter settings, check the vpns' GRE is enabled. There's a remote possibility that post SP2 the UPNP

  • Re: SBS 2003 Backup

I assume your talking about just the data here and not SBS as well. What I do for my clients is use an Iomega Rev drives for the bulk of the backing up / daily offsites, however I use my own script which effectively uses robocopy to find files created / modified in the last 24 hrs and copies those to a temp folder, then the folder is compressed using
