  • Remote Web Access 403.6 Error

Hi I have recently taken over a server, this was set up by a guy who says he is a qualified Microsoft Engineer, but next he tells me that he has never got remote access to work on any server he has set up, so it doesn't give me much faith. Anyway, I am having problems with remote web access, if I just enter the IP address from the internet I get

  • Re: Backup - The requested media failed to mount

Thanks for the idea, but backup is already set as an administrator task. The other thing is it does run most of the way through, if you look at the log I included you can see this Thanks Richard

  • Files Default to Read Only or Encrypted

if any users create sub folders in a shared drive they all default to read only. If I copy a file by dragging and dropping it onto a shared drive, then the file encryption is turned on. Are these Group Policy settings? and how can I disable this functionality? Thanks Richard

  • Various sharepoint questions

Hi We have a new install of SBS on a Dell server. We would like to try and use some of the sharepoint templates available to download from the Microsoft website, but I am having problems: 1) the stsadm command on my server does not have any of the parameters (addsolution, deploysolution etc) that are shown as part of the install, is this because either

  • Is this possible, or am I missing the point of SPS

Hi We have just moved over to SBS, and as part of this we have sharepoint. We already have existing project folders, which contain docs, software etc, is it possible to overlay sharepoint over these folders so sharepoint gives us nice 'fluffy' remote access to them? if it is possible, then how do I do this? (sorry if this is a 'how do I build the space

  • Re: Client accessing website problems

Hi David first off, a bit of humble pie. I was unfair with some of what I said, but was frustrated to say the least. The local tech support bloke couldn't find anything wrong, we have changed to using a single network card on the SBS server and it all works. I will drop you a line, as I would love to know what it is form my own sanity! Thanks Richard

Hi David We have the bitdefender AV software suite, which includes firewall etc, but this didn't work before we installed bitdefender (but I though I should install it as the email was working and I didn't want a virus on top of all this!) To be honest, I have given up and we have a support company coming in to see us in the morning, I did phone Dell

Hi The client PCs work fine when not connected to SBS, so it must be SBS Why does it show itself as the DNS server on the internet NIC tho? Do you have any suggestions for an SBS partner (as I don't fancy paying MS £199 for a phone call which is what it says on the website!) I must say that you have been great! but I can honestly say that I am disappointed
