James, This is not a "global" setting, but a group policy (GP) setting. GP works at the Organisational Unit (OU) level, so you can create a new organisational level under the location where SBS places it used, block the GP's that are normally applied, and then link in the GPs except for folder redirection. You then move the one user to that OU and it

James, you might be right - I will have to check this out now. If that is the case, it can be done by a quick change to the group policy - I will let you know soon when I get to a SBS box to find out. thanks David

If someone else wants to chip in, please do. thanks David

It is worth looking at the video if you are not sure of the value around the levels. However, one nice thing about the site is the list of benefits you get - are you making use of all of them yet? http://www

Again Austin, another great tip. thanks David

Richard, Hopefully this will help explain a few things: The licensing scheme that suits them is Open Value and they wish to license their whole site with Office 2003 Pro and pay over three years. – This will absolutely work fine – if they are buying new machines, then it might be easier to buy OEM licenses and enrol them, but as this sounds like “legalising

Austin, thanks for these great tips. Obviously I have to state that this is not supported by Microsoft and please remember to take a backup in case anything does go squiffy. Otherwisem great. David
