It seems to be the only work station that does this. The problem is as the secretary types for no apparent reason the system starts to lock her out as if there is a key jammed on.  It isnt always the same character.  The solution is to eventually close the workstation down and restart. So far I have tried the following.
Changed the keyboard and the mouse.
uninstalled office 2003 and reinstalled it
Removed the system and was about to reinstall XP Pro and start with a fresh copy.  However the system left behind exhibited the same problem, and they are not idnetical. (current one is Dell replacement was a Fujitsu).
rerouted the cable connection to the router, and used a different port on the router.
deleted normal.dot and started with a fresh copy
created a new SBS 2003 user profile.

As Word is the main program I can not say if it would have displayed with any other application.

The problem persists and is driving the poor woman to distraction and it isnt doing me much good either.   Has anyone seen this before.  I am relatively new to SBS2003 R2 and Office 2003.
