Hi

I hope that you can help me.  I have got a sbs 2003 server and it is not very well.  The issue is that when I want to make a new user using the wizard it runs through like it is ok but when you get to the end it has not made an email address. Do you have any idea's why it is doing this and how to fix this.

I have tried adding users on a fresh install in the office and it works fine. I have tried making a new template to use this and it still does not work.

I will try any ideas

Thanks

Steve,

Have a look in the event log to see if there is anything obvious there, also have a look in “C:\Program Files\Microsoft Windows Small Business Server\Support” directory for the file “add_user_wizard.log” to see if there are any obvious errors in there.

Steve,

is the mailbox created in Exchange and can you check the user profile in AD to see if there is an e-mail address in there too.

thanks

Steve,

can you look at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/837444/en-us to see if it applies? Have you applied Exchange SP1?

thanks

Steve, following on from our IM conversation, did updating this machine to the latest service pack (SP2 for Exchange) fix the problem?

thanks

Hi

Just a quick update.  I have downloaded the first 50+ patches to get it up to the stage were I can in stall SP1, I have downloaded SP1 It is over 1G.  I will be installing it soon.  Having done the first 50, one of the patches has sort out the problem of the user wizard not making email address

will keep you updated as I go
