Hi everyone well  finally I did it  the migration went fairly well but now I am left with a problem which I have been unable to solve.

When I finally disconnected the 2003 from the domain by dcpromo I am stuck with a network of computers which can no longer  connect to domain computers shares also I am unable to connect a scanner using SMB.

We can only connect to worstation shares  which are not joined to the domain.

Would really appreciate  any help to solve this asap.

Thanks'

Paul

Hi,

it almost sounds like the DCPROMO failed in some way.  When running it, you did select the option to say that it was NOT the last server in the organisation?

Also, for the install of SBS 2008, you did do a migration didn't you and not a clean install?

Hi David,

Yes I did a migration and I did select this is not the last server in the domain.

I've spent 2 days trying to fugure things out without results.

I wonder if I should scrub the server and redo

What do you suggest?
