  • USB HDD

Hi I have seen a post in which David says he back up on to a couple of USB drives, will any USB drives work? the reason I ask is that I checked with Seagate support and they say their USB drives will not, and I cannot find anyone who actually says their drives will work with SBS or Server 2003. Thanks Richard

  • Group Policy for IE

is it possible to force the default browser to be IE using group policy? I have a number of users who are now installing firefox and safari as they think they are better, this is ok, but when it goes wrong then I have to sort it out. I want to force the browser to be IE to stop all this. Thanks Richard

  • WSUS on SBS2003 R2

Hi I have installed WSUS, but it does not appear in the management console like it normally does, also, it keeps on coming up with warnings about having no client computers setup. When I have installed this before it added itself to the management console, plus I didn't setup any client machines. Ant ideas what have I done wrong? Thanks Richard

  • Webcams on remote access

Hi I have a couple of IP webcams which I have successfully connected up and display in sharepoint. However if I connect via RWW then then it tries to load from the camera IP address, but this is now an internet rather than local address. Is there any way to force the connection to the cameras? (or do I use socket forwarding on the router??) Thanks Richard

  • Re: Remote Web Access 403.6 Error

Hi If I enter the IP addres/remote then it works............. However, in my defence (I am sure I am not that stupid ) if I just use the IP address to connect remotely to the network I am on now then it works. Thanks for your help. Richard

  • Re: Remote Web Access 403.6 Error

Hi I am not sure if it is (as I cannot remotely access the network ) however, I am on another SBS network now, and we dont have 4125 forwarded - what is it for? I will try the DMZ, but it will be a few days as I have to drive to site. To the best of my knowledge there are no IIS restrictions (certainly no barred IP addresses) Thanks Richard

  • Re: Remote Web Access 403.6 Error

Hi Std R2 You don't get the initial log in page appear if you enter the ip address, just the error, so all users The router is a generic cheap and cheerfull non branded thing, and I have set port forwarding on all the ports listed in the SBS help Our ISP is F9.co.uk, we have a professional package with static ip single NIC Thanks Richard

  • Re: Remote Web Access 403.6 Error

Hi Thanks for the response, unfortunatley I already have the IP rather than a domain for the certificate - I guess the certificate must work as I can get into web outlook (which works fine). Thanks Richard
