Get the Application Compatibility Toolkit to ensure applications will work with Vista

So you have Vista, not how do you make sure you applications will run?  Use this toolkit (which will also sort out things for Windows XP SP2 too:

Are Your Existing Applications Compatible with Your New Windows Operating System?

Use the Microsoft Application Compatibility Toolkit and additional application compatibility resources to find out if your applications are compatible with Windows Vista or Windows XP Service Pack 2.

Ran the test - says the system was fine. Installed Vista then discovered that none of my network printers are compatible. No drivers available so now I have to go back to XP.

Not a good start!!

Can you not use your XP print drivers?  That is what I did?

Nothing is compatible, the Samsung uses NT4 drivers and the Epson RX600 site only shows bluetooth drivers. I have tried to use the nearest model but nothing works.

Interestly trying to get the drivers to work crashes the windows shell regularly.
