Important Microsoft security update – update your machines now!

DavidOverton.com rebooted today due to an emergency security update – an “out of band” release from the normal “patch Tuesday” process.  It is worth considering updating and reboot your computers and servers asap.

So I installed latest patch on all my servers (remotely) and not only can I no longer remote into it, BUT my blackberries don't want to send through Exchange.  Any thoughts?

Sheli,

it sounds like the servers might not have rebooted.  If you ever have an issue after installing a security patch, contact your local Microsoft Security team who will look at the issue asap.  I believe security related support is free in all countries too.  http://support.microsoft.com should get you contact details.

Thx for response David,

They were 'restarting' when I last had control over them.  I'll have my fingers on them in a few minutes, might reboot anyway.  The BES issue resolved itself though... very weird.

Thanks and I'm bookmarking your blog.
