Finger improving - stitches removed

I am not one who likes to dwell on things, but the doctors have said I can drive and this is in part to the progress of my finger.  I am off the big pain killers too, so the mind is less numbed, although I do now feel like I want my drugs back - they made the world a more smiley place. To see how I did this, go to here.

For those who like the gross things in life, once again, some links to the gory detail:

Finger from above before the stitches were removed

Finger from side before the stitches were removed

Finger from above after the stitches were removed

so.. .how's the finger now?

I just nearly sliced my thumb pad off at work and took 8 stitches.  I guess I'm hoping your finger looks normal now.. thus giving me hope I'm not going to be deformed forever

Due to the large chunk taken out of it by the chain and striaght through the nail it is not the prettiest thing in the world.    It is bent, lumpy, but not something that would make most people look away and it works just fine :-)

well I'm glad it works, but I don't feel any better about my thumb.. because I can't feel it! :(

Those were some awesome photos though, that's how I found you, I was looking up pictures to make sure my stitches looked normal, lol
