Setting up Yahoo Mail Plus (the paid for service) for Pop3 download into Outlook 2007

I have had someone ask me about POP3 mail and Outlook 2007 wiht Yahoo mail, so here is a walk through.  Go to the tools menu and select Account Settings.

  press New

selected the top option

filled in my details and clicked next

 let it finish processing

job done

Going back to Account settings screen I see that the settings are not quite the same as the details at

http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/original/mailplus/pop/pop-36.html

Clicking More Settings

the last tab needed some changing from the screen on the left to the screen on the right

that is it - SSL based login and e-mail working

I keep getting asked for my username and password -- just doesn't stop.

This is frustrating. I've followed all of the above, including reading all info i can find on the net, but keep getting the same password request as Larry Esposito. basically a dialogue box titled "Enter Network Password" pops up, which doesn't accept my password (already filed in). This in the end has to be canceled which canceled the send and receive process in Outlook. Can some one please HELP!

Guys,

2 quick questions - are you on the paid for service?  Also, have you tried contacting Yahoo to see if they have any answers.  When I wrote this article, there was a need for a paid for account.  Once I paid for an account to test with everything went well.  Also, sometimes an ISP will block the ports.  The best people to ask though are Yahoo as it is their mail service.

I did everything you said, but the "Enter Network Password" box keeps popping up for the in/out mail.  when i hit the send/receive button or (F5) and check the status of the progress, I get error codes telling me why the in/out won't work.

Can't seem to synchronize my clock to contact yahoo plus for help and was hoping that you would be able to assist.

Thanks in advance for your reply

Sorry to see all have had the similar issue of password box but no one seems to have a resolve. Yahoo just runs me around in a circle. Can't someone resolve this or say it just isn't fixable so I can remove my bloody head away from this brick wall??

Thanks!
